As we count down to Thanksgiving, I’m sharing my Top 10 Favorite Dining Spaces that I’ve designed over the past 7 years. Dining spaces are truly special places because it is where we gather to break bread, where we talk and laugh with family and friends and where we create wonderful memories.
#10 Peachy Queen
This peach and teal infused breakfast room is so sunny and sweet. The client already owned the round dining table and china curio. I simply painted the table in a teal-aqua color and added these adorable chairs with geometric detailed back. White Linen-Cotten drapes with teal fretwork leading edge, custom rug with teal border, and coordinating artwork enhance the palette and create the warm cozy feel of the space.
#9 Traditional Texture
This traditional dining room has all the elements of classic design and texture. The stocky stature of the existing table/chairs and sideboard balance so beautifully with the airiness of the new chandelier, wallpaper and custom drapes.
#8 Gray & Gold Infusion
The mix of gold and grays in this transitional dining room draw you in and once you sit in these comfy linen chairs, you won’t want to leave. Anchored by a double pedestal gray washed table, the space also boasts a china curio with an unexpected teal colored interior and a fabulous mirrored-front sideboard.
#7 Island Curves
This dining area is literally a meld of the kitchen. Built into the center island is a curved seating banquet supported by a distressed gray round table and cute, comfy X-back chairs.
#6 Southern Living
This Southern Living Showcase Home dining room ensues tradition. Tall board & batten walls, the homeowners original china cabinet and table, new rug, custom drapes and reupholstered chairs boasts a quiet drama ready to unfold.
#5 Outdoor Oasis
Beautifully nestled on the exterior patio, is an outdoor refuge. Counter-height table and chairs makes it great place to perch for a backyard BBQ or gather around for a lovely meal.
#4 Chinoseire Elegance
Encased in a Chinoiserie fretwork pattern, the walls mimic the client’s existing furniture. The windows are elegantly dressed with a cherry blossom patterned embroidered fabric with a detailed trim.
#3 Coastal Comfort
Coral floral chairs, white washed table, and double beaded chandelier give this piedmont located dining room the look and feel of sandy beaches within walking distance. Completely comfortable and casual, this space is warm and inviting.
#2 Harmonious Serenity
A perfect balance of a dark wood table with light washed chairs and soft blue-green walls soothes the soul when in this space. Draped by floral embroidered panels and walls dressed with framed art, this space is a harmoniously serene.
#1 Low-Country Chic
A custom-made farmhouse table crafted by a local woodworker sets the stage for this low-country chic space. Light blues along with shades of grey and white compose a pastoral refinement.
