What is your design process?

First and foremost, we LISTEN attentively. We ask pertinent questions to better understand your family needs and your personal style and design / present / implement based on your needs all the while taking into consideration your timeline and budget. Our goal is to exceed your expectations in terms of design and customer satisfaction.

Do you work with DIYers?
Yes. For homeowners, it is very satisfying to design, decorate and/or remodel a room on your own, but sometimes you need a little assistance or professional advice. This is especially true to avoid costly mistakes. Maria Adams Designs can help you in the beginning, middle or provide the finishes touches for your project. For those needing full, start to finish DIY help, our MAD Creationservice might work best for you.

Do you work with clients with modest budgets?
Yes. We source our products (furniture, accessories, cabinetry, tile, etc.) at high end boutiques, major manufacturer stores, big box suppliers and local thrift/antique shops. We maximize your budget by mixing custom and stock to give you the “designer” look at the “do-it-yourself” price.

Can you help me during the building phase?
Yes. Maria Adams Designs has experience with new construction and can assist you with space planning as well as selections of materials, colors, finishes, lighting, flooring, and more.

Can you add a room, convert a room or finish a room?
Yes. From adding a screened-porch to converting a bonus room to a bedroom to finishing a basement, Maria Adams Designs has the resources and sub-contractors to do any remodeling or addition project.

Do you recommend sub-contractors?
Yes. Maria Adams Designs only works with reputable, reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable sub-contractors. Our recommended sub-contractors are licensed where required and carry their own insurance.

Can you design and install custom window treatments?
Yes. Maria Adams Designs designs the treatment, selects the fabrics, contracts the workroom and oversees the installation.

Can you refinish my furniture and reupholster my sofa?
Yes. Maria Adams Designs has resources with experts in furniture refinishing/painting and re-upholstery/slip covers.

Can you go shopping with me?
Yes. Maria Adams Designs offers shopping excursions directly to manufacturer showrooms in High Point, NC. Only open to the trade, we will accompany you to select showrooms where you can purchase furniture and accessories at cost + 20-35% commission, a savings of 60-85% off retail.

Do you design home theaters?
Yes. Maria Adams Designs partners with a local home theater expert to design and build the ultimate entertainment room.

Can you help with staging my home to sell?
Yes. Maria Adams Designs can help you sell your home faster and avoid dropping your prices by staging your home to sell. We can either do the staging for you or make the recommendations for the DIYer.

Do you provide full-service custom design?
Yes. We specialize in total room transformations. From conception to installation, Maria Adams Designs handles every aspect of your design job.
